We wondered why we hadn't seen our friend from the Valley for a while??? And now we know why. She has been very busy creating a little eco-haven, Rectory Park Cottage, which is a beautiful timber cottage set on a quiet and idyllic ½ acre with a public reserve and pond at the back of the property in Kangaroo Valley about 2.5 hours drive south of Sydney.

And what One Wise Owl loves the most about this gorgeous cottage is that it is encouraging guests to "think green", like using the recycling and composting bins that are provided. The cottage is cleaned with green products and organic and local products are used where possible. The cottage’s environmental design means that it is beautifully cool in the summer and is cosy in the winter. To use the outdoor fire, there is firewood and pine cones as well as candles to give light and atmosphere.

And for strolling into town we have a modern 'shopper' trolley so you can ditch the car and still grab the paper and treats from the village and not have to lug it back to the cottage. Kangaroo Valley is a plastic bag free town and a calico bag is also provided for your use during your stay.
